An Evening of True Stories
Education in public primary schools is currently accompanied by a number of costs which, year after year, leave many parents in the lurch when they cannot afford all the activities their children can attend and their children are stigmatised as a result. There are also differences in educational achievement between pupils from different socio-economic backgrounds, which marks a child for life, so it is important to highlight these stories.
The event will feature presentations by various experts in the field of education and individuals who are directly confronted with stories of hardship and stigmatisation, either in school practice or in the context of humanitarian and other non-governmental organisations.
The event is part of the "For Free Public Education" project. The event is also supported by the Maribor Puppet Theatre and the The Minoriti Cultural Quarter.
