birds of unknown
There are three so-called birds, vocalist Patricija Škof, saxophonist Tibor Pernarčič and guitarist Tilen Beigot. The band premiered on the RTV radio show Prva Vrsta and on the music compilation Stereo Isolation of the Jazz 'ma Mlade festival with the song "To find a Place". So far, they have performed at festivals such as Jazz Festival Ljubljana, Jazzinty, Jazz ma' mlade, Imago, Zvončki in trobentice (Cankarjev dom), Festival LENT, Rokovo poletje, Letni Oder Ruše, Artkamp.. They were also one of the 6 selected bands of the Club Marathon 2021, organized by Radio Študent. In 2022, they were selected as Slovenian representatives of the international project Footprints Europe, which is co-financed by the European Union Cultural Fund. The project will help them in the development of the band and establishing themselves on international stages.
The band does not want to limit themselves in terms of genre, as the name already shows, but their main inspiration for creation is jazz, avant-garde, ethno and soul. birds of unknown outlines freedom in musical creation. Their common goal is above all to find their own expression, to tell their own story.
