Film in Minoriti: The Room Next Door

Spanish director Pedro Almodóvar's first feature film in English, The Room Next Door, retains all his hallmarks: intricate plots, saturated colour visuals and a precise portrayal of the inner world of women. The story follows Ingrid (Julianne Moore), a successful author haunted by her fear of death. When she learns that her friend Martha (Tilda Swinton), a former war correspondent, is terminally ill, she visits her, rekindling their friendship. One day, Martha asks Ingrid for something that is the hardest thing to give her, and the decision she makes will lead to unforgettable moments and important life decisions. Almodóvar's masterpiece, with the visual perfection of Eduardo Grau and superb performances by Moore and Swinton, delivers a moving meditation on life, love and human nature.
