Hrvatin/Golob: Spektral

The Hrvatin/Golob Duo consists of double bassist Žiga Golob and percussionist Andrej Hrvatin - Nimetu. Both musicians operate across a wide spectrum of musical genres, including jazz, ethno, experimental music, and as singer-songwriters. They also collaborate on theatrical, performative, dance, and film projects.

They present an original music program titled Spektral, which focuses on the color of sound and the exploration of the tonal qualities of the double bass, percussion instruments, flutes, and other traditional instruments. They perceive music not merely as peripheral entertainment but as the purest and deepest form of communication. Their playfulness and sensitivity, combined with abstract soundscapes and complex rhythms, are equally vital elements of the program. For them, music is not only communication and ritual but also a medium and canvas that encompasses the full spectrum of vibrations that shape our world and the art within it.

This project is created in collaboration with the Puppet Theatre Maribor, the Cultural Quarter Minoriti, and with the support of the City Municipality of Maribor.
