Library cycle: VANDA ŠEGA - POLOVICA DVOJINE
Duration: 1 H
Literary talk organised by the Maribor Library
Vanda Šega's novel offers a deeply personal journey through the eyes of its protagonist, Liza. As she navigates through the various stages of life - from her high school years to becoming a successful businesswoman, daughter, lover, friend, and devoted mother - the narrative unfolds in a poignant first-person perspective. Launching the novel, the author said "Polovica dvojine is a tale centered around a unique and profound love. It delves into the intricacies of childhood, revealing moments that never quite fully bloomed yet never faded into obscurity. These childhood memories often linger in the background of everyday life, casting shadows that obscure the brightness of the present."
The discussion will be moderated by Saška Ocvirk.
