From September 18 to 21, 2024, a children's stop-motion animation workshop with Asja Trost will be held as part of the StopTri International Film Festival. At the workshop, we will create a short animated film using the stop animation technique, which will be shown at the end of the festival.

In the introduction to the workshop, we will present the basic concept of transhumanism and collect ideas about what technology means to us today. At the same time, we will look for answers to questions such as: how will we connect in the future, in what way will we communicate, feel and make friends?

We will mainly focus on critical points, which we will try to depict in the practical part using the stop animation technique. We will use scrap electronics, spare parts, scraps and our bodies to create. The aim of the workshop is to create a short animated film.

Throughout the process, we will analyze the use of the equipment we need for this, while at the same time we will include a reflection on our dependence on technology. We will also look for our own views on so-called technological progress, emphasizing the origin, extraction and waste that the current system brings with it.
