Poetry tournament

World Book and Copyright Day, April 23, 2023, will be celebrated in Maribor and its surroundings with a number of events and activities that will take place between April 17 and 25 at various venues in the city and its surroundings, including the Court Tower the Poetry Tournament also took place.

The final competition for the best unpublished original song and the title "Knight of the Poetry Tournament 2023" and the awarding of the "Vizir" award for the best poetry video

Literary performance of twelve poets who will compete for the title of knight or knight of poetry. Anže Brodnik, Erika Fornazarič, Rok Horžen, Urša Majcen, Andrej Medved, Brigita Mencigar, Peter Rezman, Ana Stergar, Vesna Šare, Andreina Trusgnach, Helena Zemljič and Lučka Zorko will perform. Last year's poetry knight Miljana Cunta will be the guest poet, and the event will be coordinated by tournament organizers Zora A. Jurič and Nina Flisar. The "Vizir" award for the best poetry video will be awarded, and the audience present at the event will also vote for its winner.
